The Champions League delivers another night of spectacular football and plenty of goals
The third round of the Champions League league phase continued with lots of goals and a few surprises. Como humiliated Manchester United 4-1, LASK won in Lisbon, and Bayern and Arsenal drew 2-2 in the game of the night.
The biggest shock came from Italy. Como thrashed Manchester United 4-1, with Nico Paz scoring twice. The Red Devils are now winless in seven straight games, and Michael Carrick’s position looks increasingly shaky. LASK also sprang a surprise, winning 3-2 at Sporting Lisbon thanks to goals from Christoph Lang, Saša Kalajdžić and Krystof Daněk, ending the Portuguese side’s perfect start.
Galatasaray picked up their first points with a 4-2 win at Lille. Yunus Akgün, Aleksei Batrakov and Victor Osimhen scored for the Turks, while home goalkeeper Berke Özer added an own goal. In the headline clash, Bayern and Arsenal drew 2-2: Eberechi Eze opened the scoring, Alphonso Davies and Harry Kane (penalty) turned it around, and Declan Rice rescued a point for last season’s finalists.

Real Madrid made it four wins in a row, beating RB Leipzig 4-1 even though the Germans dominated before the break. Bernardo Silva, Arda Güler, Kylian Mbappé and Yan Diomande, who scored against his former club, got the goals. Inter struggled against Shakhtar Donetsk but claimed their first win, 1-0, through Carlos Augusto, shortly after Alessandro Bastoni was sent off.
Aston Villa remain perfect after a 3-1 win over Viking, with goals from Ross Barkley, Emiliano Buendía and a Henrik Heggheim own goal. Betis also have three wins from three after beating Feyenoord 1-0 with an Isco penalty. Club Brugge followed up their win over Inter by beating Lens 3-0, with goals from Hans Vanaken, Joaquin Seys and Carlos Forbs.
